Westporter Lucas Hausman to Join Spanish Professional Basketball Team
Additionally, the 23-year-old Bowdoin grad is scheduled also to receive an honor closer to home.
WESTPORT, CT — Twenty-three-year-old Westport native Lucas Hausman reportedly has signed a one-year contract to play professional basketball in Spain for Basket Villa de Mieres 2012.
He signed the deal in April, and is scheduled to report to the team next month, writes the Westport News. Hausman played high school basketball in New Haven for the Hopkins School, and college ball at Bowdoin in Maine.
Additionally in October, Hausman is slated to be recognized for his basketball achievements at a ceremony hosted by the Fairfield County Sports Commission.
