Westport's Annual Slice Of Saugatuck Festival Set For Saturday

A traffic advisory has been issued for the event, due to some road closures and expected large crowds.

WESTPORT, CT — The 10th annual Slice of Saugatuck Festival is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, according to the event's organizer, the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce.

Open to the public, the event features food, music, shopping, children's activities and more.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 through 12.

The following traffic advisory has been issued by the Westport Police Department for the event:

Please note that Railroad Place from Riverside Avenue to Franklin Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 12:00pm to 6:00pm on that date to allow for set up and break down of vendors’ booths and exhibitions. All other roads will remain open to vehicular traffic; however, motorists should expect heavy pedestrian traffic associated with the event in the areas surrounding the Saugatuck Railroad Station including lower Riverside Avenue and Saugatuck Avenue. Pedestrians are reminded to utilize the crosswalks when crossing the roadways. The Saugatuck Railroad station lots, with the exception of Lot#2, will also be used to provide parking for the event. If traveling to the railroad station or destinations in the immediate vicinity, please drive carefully and be sure to allow extra time for any traffic delays resulting from this event.
