WESTPORT, CT — National Hall, the five-building waterfront complex in Westport, was recently sold for $17.5 million, according to commercial real estate company Cushman & Wakefield which arranged the sale and was retained as the exclusive leasing agent.

The mixed-use property, located across from downtown Westport, was sold by Greenfield Partners. It overlooks the Saugatuck River and has offices, retail outlets and restaurants.

"Commercial real estate activity in Westport is seeing a bit of a surge," said a spokesperson for Cushman & Wakefield in a statement to Patch. "As of June 200,000 square feet of available office space was available, according to the Stamford office of Cushman & Wakefield, representing about 15 percent of the market with landlords asking about $41 a square foot in rent. Increased investment and multi-million dollar renovations are becoming the norm here.
