Woman Assaults Manager Steals High End Clothes: Westport PD
The manager locked the woman in until police arrived.

WESTPORT, CT — Officers arrested a Fairfield woman after she stole high-end clothing from the Roundabout store on Post Road East and assaulted a manager Sept. 7, according to police.
Barbara Convertito, 68, tried to leave the store and was stopped by a manager who asked if she had anything she wanted to pay for, police said. She pushed the manager and tried to leave, but the manager was able to lock the door until police arrived.
She was found with high-end clothing and shoes worth $1,171. She was charged with fourth-degree larceny, third-degree assault and possession of a shoplifting device.
