Women's League Of Westport's Annual Minute Man Race This Weekend

WESTPORT, CT — The 47th annual Minute Man Race, hosted by the Women's League Of Westport, is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, and Westport police have issued a traffic advisory for the event.

"The race will begin at Compo Beach and travel along various roads throughout the Compo Beach area," wrote Lt. Sereniti Dobson in a statement. "Organizers anticipate approximately 1,300 participants for this year’s event."

Roadways will remain open to vehicular traffic, but "motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling in the area due to increased pedestrian presence." Additionally, drivers should
expect delays and plan accordingly.

"The Minuteman Race is a long-standing community event that brings together residents and visitors for a morning of fitness and local engagement," Dobson said.
