Work Continues On Bridge In Westport Friday; Expect Temporary Closures

The following announcement is from the Westport Police Department:

WESTPORT, CT — Westport Police were notified this morning that CT DOT will be working on the Cribari Bridge between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm today. Their plan is to intermittently open and close the bridge allowing traffic to pass while the bridge is open.

During this time, Westport Police will have officers stationed on both sides of the bridge, one at Post Road West/Rte. 33, and one on Post Road East/Imperial Ave to assist with traffic. Traffic will be diverted to the Post Road during these closures.

Traffic congestion will be heavy, and we advise drivers to avoid the area if possible.
