Yankee Doodle Fair Hosted By Westport Woman’s Club This Week

The following traffic advisory is from the Westport Police Department:

WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Woman’s Club will be hosting its annual carnival, the Yankee Doodle Fair, from Thursday, June 15, through Sunday, June 18, 2023. The hours of operation are from 6:00pm to 10:00pm on Thursday and Friday, 1:00pm to 10:00pm on Saturday and from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday.

The event is held at the Westport Woman’s Club, 44 Imperial Avenue, and in the Imperial Municipal Parking Lot located on Imperial Avenue. Please note that the municipal lot will be closed to the public from Wednesday, June 14, through Sunday, June 18, to accommodate the set up and take down of the carnival attractions.

Residents and motorists can expect traffic congestion and temporary delays in the downtown area associated with this event. Attendees are reminded that there is no parking allowed on Thomas Road. Motorists traveling through the area are asked to exercise caution due to increased pedestrian traffic, and to allow extra time to arrive at their destinations and/or to seek alternate routes if possible.
