2 Pedestrians Killed In Hit-And-Run Accident On I-91: State PD
The victims were involved in a prior accident and were struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, State Police said.
WETHERSFIELD, CT — Two people were killed when a vehicle struck them on Interstate 91 northbound near Exit 27 and the car ended up leaving the scene, State Police said.
Authorities are investigating a double-fatal, car vs pedestrian motor vehicle accident that in Wethersfield. Several people were standing in the roadway after having been involved in a
previous collision, when they were hit by another vehicle traveling northbound, State Police said.
After the collision, the vehicle failed to stop and left, State Police said. Two people were pronounced deceased and a third was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, State Police said.

The accident at 4:06 a.m. Sunday, and resulted in the highway being shut down for several hours. Based on preliminary investigation and evidence found on scene, the evading vehicle is described as a model year 2002 – 2004 Honda CRV color blue, with a spare tire affixed to the rear end, State Police said.
The vehicle should have damage consistent with a driver’s side collision. This may specifically include the driver’s side headlight / headlight area and the driver’s side bottom rocker panel (black plastic), State Police said.
