WETHERSFIELD, CT — The Town of Wethersfield has postponed its scheduled fireworks display because of a vendor-related issue, town officials announced last weekend.
According to the town, the fireworks show will now take place on Saturday, June 6, at Cove Park in Old Wethersfield.
Officials did not provide additional details about the vendor issue that prompted the postponement.
The announcement was made through the town's social media channels, where officials informed residents of the schedule change and confirmed the new date for the display.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. at the 533 Main St. park and will include live music, a DJ, children's activities, food vendors, and other attractions.
The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at approximately 9 p.m. and is expected to last about 30 minutes.
Residents planning to attend the event are encouraged to update their plans accordingly and monitor town communications for any additional information regarding the rescheduled fireworks show.
No other changes to the event were announced.
