Two Charged In Wethersfield School Bus Stop Incident
The charges stem from a Sept. 8 assault and robbery of a student at a school bus stop.
WETHERSFIELD, CT — Local police Tuesday announced the arrest of two in connection with the Sept. 8 school bus stop assault of a 14-year-old juvenile victim.
According to the Wethersfield Police Department, one juvenile suspect was arrested via a search warrant on Sunday at about 6:30 p.m.
Then, police said, a second suspect was charged in connection with the incident Monday.
Because of their juvenile status, the suspects' names are not being released.

Both juveniles were to be presented in court Tuesday, Oct. 11, in Middletown Superior Court.
"Great job to those involved who assisted in leading to these arrests," Wethersfield police wrote on social media. "Thank you to the local and state partners for your assistance with this investigation."

Wethersfield police said the incident happened at about 6:59 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at a bus stop in the area of 856 Maple St.
Police said the department received a report of a possible assault of a juvenile student at the bus stop.
After police arrived, they determined the student was physically assaulted by an occupant in a passing motor vehicle and had property stolen from the suspect, police said.
Police said no weapons were used or implied in the incident.
According to police, the vehicle involved fled the scene prior to officers' arrival and the young victim sustained minor injuries, but was not taken to a hospital.
