Brewery, Street Food Restaurant Planned In Wethersfield
A brewery and Mexican street food restaurant is planned to open this year in a long-vacant building.
WETHERSFIELD, CT — A long-vacant building on Main Street in Wethersfield will become a brewery and Mexican street food restaurant operated by Boondoggle Beers, The Hartford Courant reported. The former Masonic temple location is a 97-year-old building at 245 Main St.
Boondoggle owner Micah Kerr, of Wethersfield, said he hopes to open the establishment later this year. The site will eventually become a five-barrel brew house, according to The Hartford Courant.
The building has been vacant for 25 years, and Kerr said he's been "eyeballing it ever since I moved to town," according to WFSB 3-TV. He intends to bring back some of the building's charm and add new features like a patio.
