Brush Fire Near Wethersfield Highway Is Out: Update

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A brush conflagration prompted the closure of one lane on Interstate 91 in Wethersfield, according to the state Department of Transportation, but the blaze appears to be no more.

The DOT reported the fire was near I-91 south between exits 25N and 24.

This had prompted authorities to close the left lane of the highway as crews tended to the scene.

The fire was first reported at 3:09 p.m., but it no longer appears on the DOT's incident list.
