Cameras Will Offer Real-Time Security to Wethersfield Schools

Live feeds will be available in offices.

WETHERSFIELD, CT - Education officials will be able to monitor activity around school buildings with a new security system being installed system-wide.

The system is being installed at Silas Deane Middle School and the five elementary schools with cameras strategically placed in hallways, and outside the schools.

Last week, town officials approved $200,000 for the project.

NBC Connecticut recently aired a report on the system.

Monitors will offer live feeds from the office during school hours and staffers will be able to check what has been recorded on weekends and evenings.
