WETHERSFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by the schools via readMedia Newswire.

  • Eastern Connecticut State University was one of only two institutions in the country to have its men's and women's soccer programs qualify for a 2017 United Soccer Coaches Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award. Among the students who played for the soccer program during the fall 2017 season was Justin Jensen '19 of Wethersfield, who played midfield. Jensen majors in Sport & Leisure Management.
  • Colby-Sawyer College has named Madelyn O'Connor to the Dean's List for academic achievement. O'Connor,of Wethersfield, majors in psychology and is a member of the class of 2020.
  • Wethersfield students named to the Fall 2017 Dean's List at Roger Williams University include Stanley Pazdziora and Carissa Peckrul.
