Wethersfield Car Burglars Caught

The men were caught in the act by an active police patrol.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Police caught two Hartford men going through cars in Wethersfield early Tuesday morning.

Police said that at about 2:30 a.m., the patrol division was scouring local neighborhoods looking for people breaking into cars.

The men fled the area, police said.

One was picked up on Silas Deane Highway. He was identified as 22-year-old Anthony Manuel Santiago. He was charged with third-degree burglary and a related conspiracy, police said.

The second man, 23-year-old Marc Llorens, was caught on Franklin Avenue in Hartford and charged with attempted third-degree burglary and a related conspiracy, police said.

The men are due in court Wednesday, police said.
