Overturned Cement Truck Cleared In Wethersfield: Update

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A crash on Route 15 involving a cement mixer prompted the road's closure Friday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it has now been cleared.

According to the DOT, a cement mixer rolled over on Route 15 northbound, resulting in the road's closure near the Route 275 interchange.

The crash was reported at 8:19 a.m. and it was finally reported "cleared" by 1o:50 a.m.

According to Wethersfield police, Route 15 (known as the Berlin Turnpike) was closed in the northbound lane at Wells Road.

"Wethersfield Police ask that drivers avoid the area during this time and appreciate the public’s patience," said police via social media prior to the crash being cleared.
