Drunk Wethersfield Man Accused Of Waving Gun At Teens In DMV Parking Lot: Police

The 46-year-old suspect is facing several weapons, threatening, and drunk driving charges.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A Wethersfield man has been accused by police of threatening two people with a firearm while drunk in a parking lot at the state Department of Motor Vehicles on Wednesday.

According to the Wethersfield Police Department, Dominic Meucci, 46, of Wethersfield, was charged with carrying a firearm while intoxicated, carrying a dangerous weapon, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine (two counts), two counts of risk of injury to a minor, two counts of first-degree threatening, two counts of breach of peace, and illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

Meucci posted a $250,000 bond and was released pending a court appearance in New Britain Superior Court on April 16.

The WPD said officers were called to the DMV office at 60 State St. at about 6:30 p.m. for a report of a "threatening incident involving the display of a firearm."

According to police, Meucci was operating a Subaru and yelling at two teen victims who were operating E-bikes in the parking lot.

Police said he then brandished a firearm at the two teens, with police later learning that Meucci was intoxicated in the process.
