Female Pedestrian Badly Hurt After Being Hit In Wethersfield

Police are seeking the public's help in investigating the incident, which happened Sunday night on the Berlin Turnpike.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A local woman was badly hurt over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle on the Berlin Turnpike, according to Wethersfield police.

The Wethersfield Police Department said Monday they are looking for the public's help as they investigate the incident, which happned on the Berlin Turnpike in the area of Arrow Road.

Police said the unidentified woman was in critical condition.

According to police, local officers were called to the scene at about 7:55 p.m. Sunday amid reports a pedestian was hit by a vehicle.

Police said the pedestrian was found in the area of 1840 Berlin Turnpike and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The operator of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperating with the investigation, police said, and there were no injuries to the vehicle's occupants.

The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating and it is looking for the public's help in the probe.
