Hartford Teen ID'd As Fatal Crash Victim: Wethersfield PD
The accident happened Sunday in Wethersfield and involved a stolen vehicle slamming into a home.

WETHERSFIELD/HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford teen has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash Sunday in Wethersfield in which a stolen vehicle crashed into a building.
The Wethersfield Police Department Tuesday identified the teen as being Novelle Nesmith, 14, of Hartford.
Nesmith, police said, was killed Sunday after police were dispatched to 129 Church St., Wethersfield, for a reported car crash into a residential structure.

Police, upon arrival, noticed two occupants trapped in the vehicle with a third fleeing on foot, according to the WPD.
Wethersfield police said the vehicle was stolen out of Hartford and was occupied by three juveniles.

The vehicle, police said, was seen moving erratically east on Church Street toward Garden Street before hitting a westbound vehicle, veering off the road, hitting a tree and then the residence.
Two occupants were pulled out of the vehicle, with Nesmith pronounced dead at a local hospital at about 2:27 p.m. Sunday.
The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating and the investigation is ongoing.
