Juvenile Brought Airsoft Gun, Knife To Wethersfield High: Reports

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A local high school student has been charged with bringing in a knife and an airsoft pistol to Wethersfield High School on Monday, according to multiple reports.

WTNH Channel 8, citing the Wethersfield Police Department, said students reported that another student had brought a weapon to school, with the school resource officer notified.

The incident was first reported at 11 a.m. at WHS, with police charging the student via a juvenile summons, according to WVIT Channel 30.

Because of the age of the suspect, police are not identifying the individual charged.

Meanwhile, WFSB Channel 3 reported the student being charged with breach of peace and carrying a facsimile firearm.
