Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle: Wethersfield PD

The female pedestrian was treated at the scene and taken to Hartford Hospital, where she later died, police said.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Wethersfield Tuesday afternoon, police said.

At 12:50 p.m. police received numerous 911 calls stating that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Nott Street at the intersection with Ridge Road, police said.

Numerous officers and ambulance personnel responded, and they found a pedestrian lying unconscious in the westbound lane of Nott Street, a short distance west of the intersection with Ridge Road, police said.

The female pedestrian was treated at the scene and taken to Hartford Hospital where she later died, police said.

Police said the woman was crossing the road at the intersection of Nott Street and Ridge Road when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating, police said.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
