Police Dog Advocacy Group Raising Funds in Wethersfield: Cops

Police said the group is legitimate.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Police on Friday said calls from a group called the Connecticut Police Work Dog Association are welcome in town and the finds do go to help local law enforcement canine units.

"CPWDA is a legitimate partner of the Wethersfield Police and is are soliciting funds that will help our canine," Wethersfield police said in a statement on Facebook.

Direct donations to the department canine unit are also welcome, police said.
