Popular Radio Host from Wethersfield Charged With Assault
He turned himself in at Newington police headquarters Tuesday after learning of a warrant for his arrest.

NEWINGTON, CT — A popular morning drive host on a Hartford radio station was arrested Tuesday in connection with a March assault at a Newington gas station.
Joseph Aguiar, 40, of Wethersfield, was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree breach of peace.
Charges against him stem from a March 9 incident at the Mobil gas station on Fenn Road, during which a suspect later identified as Aguiar was seen on surveillance video assaulting a man who had been sitting in a vehicle, police said.
