Rollover Crash In Wethersfield Cleared: Update

Multiple lanes of traffic were closed on the highway, but all lanes have, now, reopened.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Traffic was backed up on Interstate 91 in Wethersfield for much of Monday morning after a single-vehicle rollover, according to state transportation officials and police.

But that accident has, now, been cleared and all lanes of traffic have reopened, according to Connecticut State Police early Monday afternoon.

According to the DOT, the crash was on I-91 north in Wethersfield between exits 25 and 27.

As a result, the left and center lanes were closed, according to the DOT.

The crash was first reported at 7:50 a.m. and it was finally declared "cleared" by the DOT at 12:07 p.m.

Connecticut state police reported at 8:25 a.m. that one lane in the southbound lane was also closed in that area. It has also reopened, according to police.

Police said the accident had resulted in injuries and urged motorists to seek alternate routes of travel.
