Top 10 Most Dangerous Communities in Connecticut

When it comes to dangerous communities in Connecticut, these are the 10 most dangerous, according to infotainment website Home Snacks.

The list was compiled using information from the FBI's Uniform Crime Report, which analyzes the number of property and violent crimes in a community over the course of a year.

"While there are surveys and public polls on what cities in a state are the most dangerous, we didn't want to rely on speculation and opinion," wrote Home Snacks. "Instead, we looked at the hard numbers from the FBI's last three years of reporting."

Last year, Neighborhood Scout came out with a similar listing of 100 most dangerous communities in the United States, and four Connecticut communities, New Haven, Hartford, New London and Bridgeport made that list.

Of the 10 most dangerous communities in Connecticut in Home Snacks' list, eight are cities and two are towns. The list is below, click here to read the Home Snacks report:
