Road In Wethersfield Open After Utility Pole Fire: Update

The state road had been closed earlier Thursday morning.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A utility pole fire on Route 287 in Wethersfield Thursday morning did cause some traffic headaches for morning commute motorists, but it has since been cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the fire was at Route 287 at Goff Road and police and other responders were at the scene.

The incident was first reported at 6:34 a.m., according to the DOT, and it is now no longer listed on the state's traffic report as being an ongoing incident.
