Suspect Descriptions Released In Wethersfield Bank Robbery

The bank was robbed Thursday.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — The People's United Bank on Silas Deane Highway was robbed Thursday morning. Two perpatrators entered the bank wielding chrome handguns. The female suspect pointed her pistol at employees and ordered them to the floor while the male suspect threatened employees.

The male suspect forced two employees to retrieve cash, according to police. The two suspsects then fled in a mid-sized burgundy colored vehicle.

There were no injuries reported during the robbery. The investigation is active and police are following up on leads.

The male suspect was described as being a six-foot-tall, thin build, white or Hispanic male with brown hair, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt or jacket and sun glasses.The female suspect was described as being 5”3”, Hispanic descent, wearing a mid-back length dark colored wig, sunglasses, and a long tan colored jacket.
