Wethersfield High School Indoor Track Athletes Qualify for States

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Several members of the Wethersfield High School indoor track team have posted numbers good enough to qualify for state competition later this winter.

The boys and girls Class L meet will be held Feb. 11 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven. The State Open will also take place there on Feb. 18.

Eagles who have already qualified for the class meet are:

BOYS

• 55 hurdles - Jacob Colbath, 8.82
• 300 meters - Matthew Jablonka, 37.96; Stevenson Paul, 38.22
• long jump - Stevenson Paul, 21-3.5; Arben Zoto, 19-7
• high jump - George Stoughton, 6-0; Arben Zoto, 5-10; Daniel Parker, 5-8
• 4 x 200 relay, 1:38.41
• 4 x 400 relay, 3:45.51
• 4 x 800 relay, 9:03.23

GIRLS

• 55 hurdles - Julia Chrostowski, 9.60
• 300 meters - Bianca Tata, 44.26; Ling Chi, 46.29
• shot put - Breanna Flores, 35-9.5
• high jump - Julia Chrostowski, 5-0
• 4 x 200 relay, 1:56.94
