Wethersfield High School Indoor Track Athletes Qualify for States

A number of Eagles will be competing in the state championships next month.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Several members of the Wethersfield High School indoor track team have posted numbers good enough to qualify for state competition later this winter.

The boys and girls Class L meet will be held Feb. 11 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven. The State Open will also take place there on Feb. 18.

  • 55 hurdles - Jacob Colbath, 8.82
  • 300 meters - Matthew Jablonka, 37.96; Stevenson Paul, 38.22
  • long jump - Stevenson Paul, 21-3.5; Arben Zoto, 19-7
  • high jump - George Stoughton, 6-0; Arben Zoto, 5-10; Daniel Parker, 5-8
  • 4 x 200 relay, 1:38.41
