Wethersfield Obituary: Aileen O'Connor, 51

Condolences to her family and friends.

Aileen Elizabeth (O’Brien) O’Connor, 51, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital on Tuesday, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Thomas J. O’Connor.

Born in Reading, PA, Aileen was the daughter of Janice (Gretz) O’Brien of Reading, PA and the late Cornelius O’Brien, Jr. She is a former resident of Berlin and Meriden. Aileen was a graduate of LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA. She was the Vice President of Development for CSI (Community Solutions) in Bloomfield and Co-Chair for the Greater Hartford Re-entry Council.

In addition to her husband and mother, Aileen is survived by two sisters Kathleen Rinehart and her husband Michael Rinehart, and Maggie O’Brien; her two brothers, Cornelius J. O’Brien III and Terrance M. O’Brien and his wife Alison O’Brien; her step children, Mackenzie, Morgan and Aidan O’Connor; her father-in-law James Miller and mother-in-law Merrily O’Connor-Miller; brothers-in-law Jack O’Connor, Jacob Miller and Matt Miller; her sister-in-law Lillie Miller; and nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Paul Church, Kensington. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Masonicare Hospice, 111 Founders Plaza, Suite 200, East Hartford, CT 06108.
