Wethersfield Obituary: Anna Nervegna, 95

Anna (Bellizzi) Nervegna, 95, of Wethersfield passed away peacefully on Saturday February 4, 2017.

Born in San Basile, Italy on Oct 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Catherine Bellizzi. Anna grew up in the Parkville section of Hartford, and following her graduation from Hartford High School she worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance for over 35 years.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, Luigi Nervegna, her brother, Dominic Bellizzi, her sister and brother-in-law Teresa and Stanley Auner, and her nephew James Bellizzi. She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Jane Bellizzi of Newington. Auntie Ann was loved and will be dearly missed by three generations of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Anna will begin at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, on Thursday, February 9, 2017, with calling hours from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., followed by a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Anna will be lovingly laid to rest in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
