Wethersfield Obituary: Bernardo Migliorati, 84

Condolences to his family and friends.

Bernardo Migliorati, 84, of Wethersfield, loving and devoted husband for 61 years of Paolina (nee Pantano), died peacefully, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born in 1932 in Canicattini Bagni, province of Siracusa, Italy. He was employed by the State of Connecticut for many years as a master electrician. One of the founding members of the Canicattinese Society in Hartford, he had a passion for cooking, photography and, especially soccer. As a young man, he was known for his prowess on the soccer field. In the 1950s he was actively recruited by the “Serie A” team in Florence, but circumstances beyond his control prevented his joining the team. He always demonstrated an exuberance and passion for the game.

He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Those who knew him will especially miss the enormous feasts he lovingly prepared during the holidays.
