Wethersfield Obituary: Edward Hill, 45

Edward A. Hill, 45, of Washington, DC, beloved husband of Jessica Zufolo, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC of Esophageal cancer.

He was born on November 5, 1970 to Karen (Peplow) Hill and the late Joseph P. Hill and grew up in Wethersfield, attending local schools. He was a graduate of the University of Hartford. He began his business career in insurance and later became a staff member to 2 different Congressmen. Most recently, he was a lobbyist for Marriage and Family Counselors Association.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by three brothers, Peter and his wife Amy and their children Norah, Sadie and Cullen of Suffield, J.Patrick, Jr. and his fiancée Amy Hannan and his children J.P.III, Linnea and Finn of Ramsey, MN, Kevin and his wife Jennifer and their children Eleanor and James of Wethersfield, and a sister Rosemary Hill of Wethersfield. Also surviving, his mother-in-law Suzanne Hebron of New York, NY, father-in-law Michael Zufolo of New York, NY, Aunt Marion Aspinwall of Stratford, Aunt Jean Hill of West Hartford, Aunt Anne Hill of Storrs, Uncle William Peplow and wife Pam of Sarasota , FL and Uncle Robert Peplow and wife Carol of Bristol, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother David in 1995 and his father in 1998.

Visiting hours will be May 6, 2016, 4-7 PM at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield. The funeral will begin Saturday, May 7, 2016, 11:30 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 12:30 PM at Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in the Village Cemetery, Wethersfield.
