
Elizabeth “Betty” J. (Keane) Capone, 92, wife of the late Angelo P. Capone, formerly of Wethersfield and Hartford passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Apple Rehab in Rocky Hill.
She was born in Hartford on May 8, 1925, daughter of the late Thomas E. (Sr.) and Elizabeth (Burgie) Keane. Elizabeth was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy and later worked for a number of years at Southern New England Telephone Company as a telephone operator.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Diane Capone of Rocky Hill and Marilyn Nicotera and her husband Frank of Wethersfield, her beloved granddaughters and their husbands Melissa and Todd Whitaker and Rebecca and Philip Colello, and six great-grandchildren Victoria, Jake, Luke and Zack Whitaker and Addison and Brielle Colello, all of Wethersfield. She also leaves her sisters-in-law Beverly Keane and Rachel Capone, nephew Jeffrey Capone, as well as her nieces and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother Thomas E. Keane Jr., brother-in-law Stephen Capone, sister-in-law Mary Chick and brother-in-law Harold Chick, as well as, dear friends Catherine and Peter Silvestri.

The family would like to extend its thanks to the staff at Apple Rehab of Rocky Hill for their kindness, compassion and care during the past four years, in addition to the Masonicare Hospice personnel recently involved in her care.
Funeral services and burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery will be private.
