Wethersfield Obituary: Frances Betz, 105

Frances (Podrebartz) Russett Betz, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2016 at the age of 105, while residing at a local convalescent home.

She was born in Branford on June 27, 1911 to George and Ann (Krznarich) Podrebartz. She made her home in Wethersfield until 2001. Frances worked as an inspector for Colt Firearms in Hartford.

She married Stanley Russett, her first husband, in 1936 until his passing just three and a half years later. She married her second husband, Emil Betz in 1968 until his death in 1992.

She leaves one sister, Elizabeth Wiwie of South Windsor, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters and two brothers, Mary Stagina, Anna Kellogg, Katherine Vallario, Barbara Hoff, Helen Sena, George Podrebartz and Michael Podrebartz, who died in infancy in 1919.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
