Wethersfield Obituary: Frances Scavetta, 78

Frances M. Scavetta, 78, of Wethersfield, formerly a longtime resident of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (September 28, 2016) at a local convalescent home.

Frances was born in Hartford on May 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Lavecchia) Scavetta. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Travelers Insurance Co. for many years.

She will be dearly missed by her sister-in-law, Janet Scavetta; her nieces, Roxanne Sherwood, Joanne Sansabrino and husband James, Gina Cusano and husband Ilio, Maria Cecchini and husband Darren, Tina Martinez and husband Carlos, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Angelina Coiro, Anna Fazio, Rose M. Scavetta, Antoinette Scavetta and Mary Oliver; brothers, Rocco, Joseph and Patsy Scavetta and her niece, Donna Scavetta.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday (October 3) from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s Church, 66 Bolton St., Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
