Luigi “Gino” Federici, 66, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 42 years of Dorena (DeFilippis) Federici, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 19, 2018.
Born in Fondi, province of Latina, Italy on May 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Giuseppina (Mastrobatista) Federici. He served proudly in the Italian military prior to coming to America. Gino retired from Arkema in Kensington, where he worked as a machinist in plexi-glass manufacturing for over 35 years.
He was a member of the Lenolese Society in Farmington. Gino enjoyed the outdoors, he loved gardening, hiking and just appreciating the sunshine. He was a proud fan of the N.E. Patriots and he liked spending time with friends. Although, more than anything, Gino was a devoted family man who was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.
