Wethersfield Obituary: Marianna Bors, 90

Marianna (Gaska) Bors, 90, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 46 years of the late Stanislaw Bors, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2017.

Born in Kopaczyska, Poland on August 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Jozefa (Szydlik) Gaska. She was a lifelong Wethersfield resident and worked for CT Spring and Stamping Corp. for 25 years. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marianna will be dearly missed by her children, Pelagia “Pearl” Lynch of Rocky Hill and Czeslaw “Chester” Bors and wife Krystyna of Conway, SC; her four adored grandchildren, Arthur Bors and his wife, Heather, Dorothy Bors, Jennifer Coppola and husband Frank and Nicole Palamara and husband Justin and her two cherished great-grandchildren, Noelle Rose and Carter Joseph Palamara. She is also survived by her brother, Czeslaw Gaska and wife Regina of New Britain, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mapleview Manor of Rocky Hill for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday (March 4) at 9:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at SS Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
