
Norman Richard Skaats, 84 of Lebanon, died Tuesday, August 01, 2017 at Douglas Manor, Windham Center.
He was born in Wethersfield to Henry and Evelyn (Donley) Skaats on August 26, 1932. He graduated from Wethersfield High Sschool in 1950. Growing up in Wethersfield, Norman worked for Comstock and Ferry and volunteered with the fire department. He was a union plumber with local 76 and 777 for many years, retiring to own and operate Liberty Hill Farm Market and Greenhouses with his wife.
Norman leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Spencer Skaats of 63 years, and four children, Richard (Donna) Skaats of Lebanon, Susan Laughlin-Dean of Manchester, Timothy (Beth) Skaats of Lebanon and Carol (Mark) Piechowicz of Bolton; five grandchildren Jared, Carl, Brittany, Parker and Megan and a sister Arline Hallisey of Wethersfield.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Douglas Manor and Hartford Healthcare at Home Hospice Care.
There will be a Memorial Service at the Liberty Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 12:00 pm.
