
Rae C. Ruby-Rein, 65, of Manchester, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband of Bernard L. Rein, co-founder of Rein's Deli, in 2012.
Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late J. Frederick and Betty-Rae (Hall) Cebelius, Rae grew up in Wethersfield and graduated from Wethersfield High School, Class of 1969. She worked as a certified fitter with DME and retired in 2001. Rae resided in Greater Hartford all her life and was a long-time member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed big band music, travel, and her cats.
Rae leaves her son Mat Ruby, his wife Stephanie, and her children, Megan and Mark Gardner; brother-in-law Howard Eaton and his wife Sally; nephew John Eaton and his wife Sarah; step-son, Michael Rein Sr., his wife Peggy, and their son Michael Rein, Jr., his wife Courtney, and children, Kayla, Quinnlan, Emily, and Seann. She also leaves many cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 371 Wolcott Hill Road, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main Street, West Hartford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
