
Regis F. Charpentier, 91, a long time resident of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2016 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Charpentier.
Regis was born in Wauregan, CT, daughter of the late Anne (Ward) and Michael R. Fitzmorris. She graduated from Plainfield High School and St. Joseph College in West Hartford with a degree in Business Administration. She was a service representative for the Southern New England Telephone Co. At the time of her retirement, she was employed by the former Sage Allen store in Wethersfield.
Regis was a very devout Catholic, a communicant of the Church of the Incarnation. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Regis enjoyed many trips to the southern coast of Maine, a place that was always special to her.

Regis is survived by and will be dearly missed by her five children; Ellen Charpentier and husband Richard Adams, of Tolland, Amy Knous and husband Frederick Knous, of Portland, John Charpentier of Wethersfield, Philip Charpentier and wife Jing, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Carol Charpentier Pace and William Luckey, of Wethersfield. She also leaves her dear grandson, James Clayton Pace of Wethersfield; brother-in-law Thomas Charpentier and wife Nancy, of Pomfret; sister-in-law Claire Delaney of Plainfield and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Catherine and Philip Charpentier; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Hazel Fitzmorris.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 6th at 12pm in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield (Attendees are asked to go directly to the church). Burial will follow the Mass in Village Cemetery, Marsh St. Old Wethersfield.
