
Rosalie (LaRosa) Bazzano, 86, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Vincenzo “Jimmy” Bazzano, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017.
Rosalie was born in Hartford on May 4, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Jack and Josephine (Grasso) LaRosa. Rosalie was a devoted wife and mother, she took pride in her home and was a tremendous cook and baker. Her cheesecakes and other sweet treats were delicious and will be missed.
Rosalie leaves behind her daughter, Diane Bazzano of Wethersfield, brother-in-law Salvatore Bazzano and his wife Virginia of Rocky Hill, nieces Donna and Linda LaRosa of Boston, Massachusetts, Linda Cultrera and her husband James of Newington, Susan Paquette and her husband Paul of Wallingford and Marianne Flynn of Atwater, California, nephews Stephen Bazzano and his wife Claire of Tolland, Raymond Bazzano of Jamestown, Rhode Island and Gary Bazzano and his wife Susan of Hartford. She also leaves her cousins Lucy Murkette of Westbrook and Frances Lund of South Windsor, George Ducharme of Hartford and longtime friend Rose Visone of Wethersfield. In addition to her husband and parents, Rosalie was predeceased by her brother Sonny LaRosa.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield, burial will immediately follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
