Wethersfield Obituary: Shirley Meheran, 91

Shirley Laverne (Clemens) Meheran, 91, of Wethersfield, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. She was the beloved wife of 36 years to the late Robert J. Meheran.

Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of Marion and Agnes (Bjornsen) Clemens.

Shirley leaves behind a son, Robert Meheran and Anne Marie Lennox of Tampa, FL, a daughter, Jodie M. Martocchio and her husband Lou of Southington, her brother, Sherman Clemens and his wife Martha of Suffield, her sister, Heidi Singer of Suffield, grandchildren, Tyler Meheran and Louie, Katie, and Nicole Martocchio. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by her jazz group friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Grogan.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14, at 11:30am at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St, Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours will be Friday 10-11:30am, just prior to the service.
