Wethersfield Obituary: Teresa DiSanzo, 81

Teresa (Diana) DiSanzo, 81, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for fifty-six years of Domenico DiSanzo, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Saracena, province of Cosenza, Italy she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina (DiRago) Diana and came the United States in 1956. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Hartford public school system for many years. In her retirement years, she loved playing Bingo at the Wethersfield Community Center.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Leone DiSanzo and his wife Sandra of Wethersfield and Antonio DiSanzo and his companion, Maria Liburdi in Florida; her daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Henry Santos of Newington; her brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Anna Diana of Cromwell; two sisters, Mary Garzone and her husband Luigi of Wethersfield and Rosina Pandolfi of Saracena, Italy and four adored grandchildren, Domenico and Amanda DiSanzo and Joseph and Juliana Santos, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by several siblings.

The funeral is Friday at 11 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning from 9:00 -11 a.m. at the funeral home.
