Wethersfield Obituary: Theresa Clancy, 90

Theresa (Filion) Clancy, 90, of Vero Beach, Florida, previously a long time resident of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Clancy.

Born in South Berwick, ME, daughter of the late Louis and Celia (Lauzon) Filion. Theresa was an active member of her community serving on the Board of Directors. She loved playing cards, bowling, walking and gardening.

She leaves her children; Shelly Lazzara and her husband, Dennis, of Sanford, ME; Leslie Clancy and her partner, Geoff Cleare, of Vernon, and her son, Brian Clancy and his wife, Karen, of Newington. She also leaves her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Sean Lazzara and his wife Beth; James Lazzara and his wife Marilisa and their daughters, Grace, Madelyn and Cassie; Danielle Sulewski and her husband Tom and their son Derek; and Christopher Clancy and his fiancé Nicole Roberge. She also leaves her siblings; Robert Filion and his wife Helen, Leo Filion and his late wife Jean, Lucille Pelland and her husband Frank, and Carol Barnes. In addition to her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by her brother Gerard Filion.

Her funeral service will be held at Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield, on Friday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m.
