Vincentina “Nancy” (Parisi) Auretta, 93, of Old Saybrook and formerly Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Carmelino Auretta, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 14, 2018 after a brief decline in health with her family by her side.
Born in Hartford on July 21, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Urgo) Parisi. Nancy worked as a manager in retail for Sage Allen and Cherry & Webb. She spent a lot of time at the beach or on the Connecticut River in Essex with her daughter, watching the seagulls and the activity on the docks, and also liked an occasional trip to the casinos. She especially enjoyed her time spent with her son-in-law and her canine buddy Alice planning and supervising yard projects.
A loving mother, Nancy will be forever missed by her daughter, Patricia Magor and husband Roger of Old Saybrook and her sister, Antoinette Parisi of Old Saybrook. She was predeceased by five siblings.
