Wethersfield Obituary: Walter Levsky, 93

Walter Levsky, 93, of Wethersfield passed Friday surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Ukraine in 1924, he immigrated to the US in 1945. Within his new home country, he found his eternal love and wife of 62 years, Irene Levsky; their love will always inspire those around them.

In addition to his wife and adored cat BoBo, the patriarch is survived by two sons; Adrian Levsky and wife Virginia of Longmeadow, and Mark Levsky and wife Diana of Glastonbury. His loss is also heavily felt by his five grandchildren to whom he was Gigi; Adrian and his wife Brittney, Raissa, Matthew, Jonathan, and Justin.

A funeral will Tuesday Sept. 26 at 10 AM in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Cemetery, Glastonbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church.
