Wethersfield Obituary: Wanda Donahue, 94

Wanda Donahue died on July 28, 2017 around the time that she & Bob, her devoted husband of 61 years would have been having wine, cheese & crackers.

Wanda leaves behind two sons, Gregory Donahue of Washington and Thomas Donahue of Colorado; three grand children, Katie Jordan of Florida, Corey Donahue and Emmy Archuleta of Colorado, and one great grand child Ellie Jordan. Wanda was predeceased by her oldest son Dennis Donahue, loving husband Robert, sister Ann Voyda and nephew Padre Michael Donahue of Bolivia.

Wanda received her BS in 1943 from The Teachers College of Connecticut and later her MA in Education from CCSC. Wanda was a teacher for 25 years, primarily 3rd grade at Southeast/Ruth Chaffee Elementary in Newington from 1960 to 1982. She was a long time member of Corpus Christi Church (Prayer shawls and Women's Club).

She and Bob were well traveled including 25 trips with Elder Hostel. Wanda was active with the Senior Center and a fabulous Wii bowler.

Services to be at Corpus Christi aka Christ the King Parish, 601 Silas Deane Hwy Wethersfield on Monday August 7th at 10 AM. Calling Hours are Sunday August 6th from 2-4 PM at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill.
