Two Wethersfield Police Cruisers Damaged By Suspect
Officers were unable to pursue the vehicle due to the damage on the cruiser.
WETHERSFIELD, CT — Local police Monday continue to investigate an early morning incident that saw two Wethersfield police cruisers damaged after a suspect deliberately crashed into them.
According to the WPD, at approximately 2:24 a.m. Monday, Wethersfield officers observed a silver Jeep Compass with a license plate that was reported stolen.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was possibly stolen as well, police said.

According to police, while an officer was speaking with the operator, the operator placed the vehicle in reverse, striking two Wethersfield Police cruisers and fled the scene.
Officers were unable to pursue the vehicle due to the damage on the cruiser, police said.

There were no injuries to the officers.
