
WETHERSFIELD, CT — The Wethersfield Police Department will be making several promotions official in a Friday ceremony.
Sgt. Michael Connolly will be promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Lt. Connolly has been with the Wethersfield Police Department for more than 19 years. Prior to his promotion, Lt. Connolly had served many years as the sergeant in charge on the training unit. As a Lieutenant, he will be the commander of the administrative services bureau.
Master Police Officer Luis Gonzalez will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Gonzalez has been with the Wethersfield Police Department for nearly 19 years. Prior to his promotion, Sgt. Gonzalez served as an officer in the Patrol Division and as D.A.R.E officer. As a sergeant, he will be assigned to the Patrol Division as a shift supervisor.

Det. Anthony Demonte will be promoted to the rank of sergeant. Sgt. Demonte has been with the Wethersfield Police Department for nearly 16 years. Prior to his promotion, Sgt. Demonte had been a detective since 2009. As a sergeant, he will be assigned to the Patrol Division as a shift supervisor.
