Wethersfield Police Commander Poisson Retires After 27 Years on the Force
Poisson had many roles while a member of the WPD.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — On Jan. 31, after 27 years on the job, Commander Mark Poisson retired from the Wethersfield Police Department.
Police officials said he "was well liked and well respected among his peers."
Over the course of his career, Poisson served the WPD and the town in many roles. He served as a field training officer, a detective, a patrol sergeant, the training unit supervisor, and commander in several of the department's divisions.

He also served on the department's SWAT Team, the predecessor to the Capital Region Emergency Services Team, where he also served as a commander.
